Partners working hard in preparation for seminars

A couple of our Partners are working hard in preparation for a busy time in the coming months in giving seminars and guest addresses to different organisations locally.  The Head of our Wills and Probate Department, Laura Duncan, is already experienced in providing informative and interesting talks on topics such as Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney to local groups such as the Women’s Institute and she has the possibility of some more of these talks in the coming months.  Laura is also busy preparing for the second annual seminar held at our Scunthorpe office called “Time to Get Your Affairs in Order”.  This seminar is presented in conjunction with Steve Tait of Midas Independent Financial Planning Limited and is scheduled for the middle of September.  Please keep checking our ‘Seminars and Events’ section for more details.

In addition, the Head of our Commercial Department, David Holden, has been invited by the local members’ group of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to deliver an hour’s lecture on Wednesday 16th September.  The likely topic is to be the latest developments in break clauses in Commercial Leases from the perspective of the draftsman of these clauses.  With there being many recent cases on the topic, this is sure to be an interesting lecture with many follow up questions from the attendees.
